Bayer CropScience welcomes the decision by the State Government in Victoria to lift the moratoria that has prevented commercialisation of genetically modified (biotech) canola for several years. Biotech canola was initially approved by federal authorities in 2003. Farmers will now have a choice to access biotech canola varieties that are safe, profitable and environmentally friendly.
