BioScience

The BioScience Division of Bayer CropScience finds new crop solutions through advances in biotechnology, seed breeding and the development of hybrids. Its primary goal is to improve the quality of crops, thus increasing yields.

Bayer BioScience is a wholly owned business group of Bayer CropScience. We concentrate our global activities in 7 key market areas. They are: vegetables, canola, cotton rice, nutrition, health and biomaterials. The different areas within BioScience include: seeds, agronomic traits such as insect and herbicide tolerance, quality traits such as improved oil quality and crop protection products that are used on seeds or crops. In Australia, BioScience is working with InVigor hybrid canola and conventionally bred sorghum, sunflower and corn. We are also involved in cotton and basic plant research programs, in collaboration with CSIRO in Canberra.
