Our subsidiary, Nunhems, is a leading international developer and supplier of high quality vegetable seed and services. We market 2,500 vegetable varieties covering 28 vegetable crops around the globe to professional growers, plant propagators, seed dealers as well as the fresh produce and food processing industries. Our main crops include carrots, onions, tomatoes, leeks and melons.

A particularly exciting innovation from Nunhems is the non genetically modified Intense™ tomato, the world’s first non-leaking tomato. Intense is a full-flesh tomato with a higher density which does not lose its juice. It has been developed to meet the requirements of consumers and food processors in terms of use options, flavour and appearance. The high density of Intense makes it a convenient tomato for slicing, dicing and cutting without losing its shape. The ability to retain the

juice results in a lasting fresh appearance after cutting making it very convenient for fresh salads, pizza toppings, wraps and sandwiches.

For its unique characteristics, Intense has already been awarded two coveted innovation prizes in Europe and the United States.
